The Law Offices of Sidney L. Alegre was founded in 1999 and has strong ties to the community of Tracy and the San Joaquin Valley. We provide legal services to individuals and businesses in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate administration and entity formation.

Sidney L. Alegre has continued to maintain ties to her home town of Livermore, while being active in community and civic service in Tracy.
Sidney L. Alegre, a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization has been practicing law in Tracy for over seventeen years. She practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration law as well as business law.
Her estate planning practice ranges from probate and basic estate planning, including Wills, Living Trusts and Powers of Attorney, to advanced estate planning in which sophisticated estate tax mitigation and business succession techniques are utilized.
Sidney Alegre continues to practice business law with planning and formation of legal entities including corporations, family partnerships and limited liability companies.
On a personal note, Ms. Alegre received her law degree from Humphreys College School of Law in 1996. She is a member of the San Joaquin County Estate Planning Council, the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform, San Joaquin County Bar Association, Tracy Inner Wheel, the Endowment Committee for the Grand Foundation and the Tracy Consortium for Higher Education. She continues to volunteer for the San Joaquin County Bar Association’s Lawyers in the Library Legal Clinic program in Tracy. She is the founding member of the Tracy Hospital Foundation’s Planned Giving Roundtable and a former board member of the Grand Foundation, the Central Valley Community Bank Advisory Board and the Fund Development Committee for the Hospice of San Joaquin. Sidney Alegre was named as Professional of the Year in 2007 by the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and has received the Best of Tracy award the past fourteen years. Born and raised in Livermore, she has lived in Tracy thirty-five years. She has three sons and is married to Tracy native, Dennis M. Alegre.
Jennifer L. Ellerd, a Certified Paralegal with the Law Offices of Sidney L. Alegre. She has spent much of her legal career in the area of Trust Administration, Probate, Estate Planning and Corporate and Transactional Law and Real Estate. She graduated from Abrams College in 2005 where she received her paralegal certificate.
Mrs. Ellerd is active in various organizations. She sits on the board as the Secretary of the Executive Committee, Paralegal Section of the San Joaquin County Bar Association and was the past Vice-President of the Santa Maria Legal Professionals Association. Mrs. Ellerd is also a Notary Public.
Mrs. Ellerd’s hobbies and interests include traveling, continuing her education and spending time with her husband, Daniel and her three children, Chase, Logan and Madison.
Sandra Taylor has been with the Law Offices of Sidney L. Alegre since March 2015. She is an Analyst specializing in trust administration, probate, and conservatorship accountings.
After graduating from California State University, Chico she joined PG&E and held various management positions from San Francisco to Stockton. She left the Company several years ago as a Quality Improvement Specialist where she and a corporate team focused on system-wide process improvements capturing efficiencies in the field services department. After her career with the gas and electric company, she dedicated her time to raising her children and supporting her husband’s small business.
Sandra and her husband have two adult children, one spoiled golden retriever, a cat named “Meow,” and two silly horses. She is actively involved in the community and has served in various board positions for several community non-profits. One of the highlights of her community involvement is co-chairing Dancing with the Tracy Stars which has benefited nineteen local non-profits over the last several years. Her personal interests include spending time with her family, a new found hobby—quilting, and traveling to explore our State and National Parks.
Star Hightower has been with the Law Offices of Sidney L. Alegre since July 2015. Star is the Office Manager for Sidney. She manages the day to day office operations, receptionist personnel and a variety of special projects for the office. Star is also a Notary Public.
Star worked previously in the telecommunications field where she started as a telephone operator and brings 30 plus years of office experience to the firm. Star and her husband Mark moved from the Bay Area to Tracy in 1991. Star enjoys, music, travel, sports and her two golden retrievers. The beach is her happy place!!
Tania Salas has been with the Law Offices of Sidney L. Alegre since June 2017. She is the Receptionist for Sidney. Her duties include answering phones, assisting clients in the front office and sees to the scheduling needs of our clients. Customer Service is a strong passion for her. Sidney’s clients and staff have made her office a great place to continue growing her passion.
Tania was born and raised in Tracy where she lives with her 3 children Julian, Rueben and Marissa. She enjoys sports and spending time with her family & friends.
